It all started with stories about the childish adventures of finding a lost doll to now writing stories about finding love.
Sela was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Georgia. Being the second out of four children, there was always something happening to inspire an adventure story filled with the funny moments she’d experienced with her siblings. She can always be seen carrying a large purse to hold a notebook and pen, an extra pair of shoes, a fork, some sort of Coca-Cola product, and other miscellaneous objects. Sela has continued to indulge her passion for writing in between her moments of teaching elementary school students the magic of reading and writing, as well as how to make sure we don’t high-five someone after sneezing into our hands. Ick! When not writing, Sela enjoys reading anything romance, watching movies, talking on the phone with her sister (at least three times a day), and walking around Old Town Alexandria with her husband. The Emerald of the Night is her first published novel.
